AHHAA Science Centre has produced a brand new exhibition about Illusions. This exhibition was opened in Tartu in December 2018.
The exhibition includes many classical science centre exhibits and quite many of those you have probably never seen before. Unbelievable patterns that will make your head spin, glasses that turn left side to right and right to left, shifting mirrors, vanishing sculptures, water flowing backwards – it looks like everything is actually happening, but is it really?
Created and built by Science Centre AHHAA, this new interactive family-friendly exhibition presents you with numerous amazing optical effects and deceptive tricks that look downright magical, but are actually 100% scientifically sound.
The exhibition shows how and why your vision can be tricked, how easy (or hard?) it is to paint pictures or wander in the labyrinth – through a mirror and how images completely change their appearance when you look at them from different angles. There are more than 30 exhibits in display. The exhibition is open until April 2019 and afterwards it is available for rent.
